sEnd2End privacy policy

Last updated: 24 August 2026

sEnd2End is a browser extension that encrypts and decrypts data on your device. This page is the privacy policy for that extension.

We do not collect your data

The extension does not send analytics, telemetry, crash reports, or account information to Tyler Hess or any server operated for this project.

We do not share your data

Because we do not collect personal data, we do not sell, rent, or share it with third parties, advertisers, or partners.

What stays on your device

Keys, connected-site settings, and related metadata are stored in the browser’s local extension storage on your computer. They are not uploaded by the extension.

If you download a key backup, that file is written where you choose and protected by your passphrase. We never receive it unless you send it yourself.

Sites you connect

You choose which websites may talk to the extension. Those sites can ask it to encrypt or decrypt using the key on this device. They still do not receive your private key. Do not connect a site you do not trust.
